UPDATE: Found another forum where a user called 'tytus' seems to have found a fix that works for many people and highlights my notes. I personally tried unistalling my Sony Vaio power management because this deactivates the cd/dvd drive when the battery is low - I knew i was clutching at straws with this one Itunes Cancelling Disc Burn Error 4280 This did seem to have an affect! Attempt To Burn Disc Failed Error 4280 Errors on iTunes 42110 are most likely a registry error on the computer.

this this took me an hour to figure out...reinstalling and uninstalling. This is a risk, because when rebooted you will lose all the information on your computer, but if you want itunes, then you should reboot. I am running Vista on a Toshiba. check over here UNTIL NOW!

If not, you will not be able to open the older version of iTunes you just installed.
