The best case is recent client and recent QMgr in which case WMQ native protocol heartbeats are MUCH more reliable than TCP heartbeats. In this case it is the client getting the 2195 so I'd expect errors to show on on the client side.
Has anyone else had this problem? The channels can be tuned to respond a LOT quicker than 2 hours. You will be required to sign in. However, the QMgr may not know the channel has disconnected until TCP times out the socket and that interval by default on most systems is 2 hours. Thank you. (1-2/2) Loading... The exact tuning depends on the QMgr and client versions in use as discussed earlier. As noted earlier, the versions you are using make a big difference in tuning and diagnostics. Connected to MQ! Replace custom functions, leave built in functions untouched?

Best regardsMhamad El Hage srhubbard 2015-08-17 14:03:21 UTC #2 Hello Mhamad, I have seen this error message a few times when reading S1 data using the S1 Toolbox. This APAR detects this error condition and proceeds as follows: 1) message "BJT13005E Error reading from jes_dsname, for archive_dsname" is generated, 2) a record is added to the archive data set: Did you grab the jar files or install the client from IBM's media? You won't get things like conversation sharing or read-ahead if the QMgr is at a version that doesn't support them, but you do get the benefit of all the purely client-side
You mentioned V7 but that could be V7.0.0, V7.0.1, V7.1 or V7.5. Not the answer you're looking for? What do the local error log files or FDCs on the client side show? The default is 100 (max channel connections per queue manager).

I get MQExceptions when trying to run applications that use MQ (used to work fine). I even re-formatted and re-installed Windows and MQ on my machine to ensure a clean build, but still get this problem. java com.ibm.gwa.mq.ClientTest -h d06mqsv002 -c SYSTEM.DEF.SVRCONN -q TEST.D06MQ002 GWA MQSeries Test Program version 1.0.3 MQ java classes version: Websphere MQ classes for Java V5.3.0 settings: hostName = d06mqsv002 channelName = SYSTEM.DEF.SVRCONN
How to avoid const cast for map access? In your case it might be better to try the sample java programs and see if they give you a 2009._________________I am *not* the model of the modern major general. On the QMgr side, a 2009 usually results in a message saying the channel has disconnected, but no FDC. In general, later versions of client are better, even with older QMgrs. Therefore the error in the logs may not be written for up to two hours after the connection is lost. There are 28 connections but none for the server the java client or agent is running from. The channel is a SVRCONN channel.
